If you told me a few years ago that today I would be working in the health and fitness industry with a passion for weight training and beautiful clean food, I would have told you you were mistaken.
I never had the desire to go to the gym, I loved eating lollies (every night) and I was happy that way... For a while. Eventually I started to lose my shape a bit, lucky to not really get overweight, but I wanted to change. Completely out of my comfort zone I contacted a nutritionist, got all booked in and excited and then cancelled. I got scared, scared of change, scared of what they might make me eat and scared of being judged. I booked in and cancelled twice before I actually followed through. I showed up, I got my plan (to my amazement it was actually tasty food) and I slowly started to change my lifestyle to be a little healthier every day.
The next step for me was signing up to a gym, probably the biggest and hardest step for me. As a young woman at the time I had very low self esteem and a growing problem with self image. Joining a gym and having people watch me work out scared the hell out of me. Eventually I jumped on board with Rampage West and started a basic training program. To be honest I still didn't really have a passion for training and eating healthy for quite a while, I was just going through the motions and doing what had to be done.
My health and fitness journey took a huge step up when I found my life partner, health and fitness freak, bodybuilder, nutritionist, trainer, he did it all. It didn't take long for me to catch the bug and now we live and breathe health and fitness together every day.
One of the biggest reasons I do what I do today is because of where I started. Not everyone is going to have a passion for the gym or eating clean, I get that. For some of you, this journey will start because you have to, because you're overweight, unhappy with your image and want to better your lives and health. Between Brendon and I we will get to know you personally, help you set achievable goals and get you there as fast and as safely as possible. Your health and well-being is important to us.
